Equipment and Design
At The ACT Group, we take pride in the design and manufacture of our equipment. Because we deal in many varied and differing applications, we can build and deliver equipment specifically suited to the application and environment. We either survey the site with the application in mind, or suggest on a full survey from our distributor or client. Equipment can be configured for the harshest of conditions to sterile bio-lab systems. For the high-pressure system, we insist on water analysis and treatment to ensure the integrity of our systems and operation in the field. Most installations (those without Reverse Osmosis water) require an X-Scale water conditioner to be installed prior to the pump unit. |

This will ensure that problems resulting from calcium bicarbonates are minimized in the system. Depending on the water analysis and the water source, we will design specific filtration systems based on water quality.

The ACT Group has the sole rites to a new patented nozzle line technology from abroad. This new and innovative design in stainless steel nozzle line has reduced installation times and has made our systems far superior to any of our competitors. The new nozzle collar has a 360° orientation and has exceeded pressure test of 3000 PSI. This new technology has been applied to the greenhouse industry in Southern California, Nevada and as far as Africa with remarkable results and phenomenal cost savings for our clients. |
Pump units are sized according to the application. Pump deliveries range from 2 lpm (½ gpm) to 170 lpm (45 gpm). Most systems come with a built in "safety factor' for system flow pressure and motor size; this allows the user some leeway in the use and design of the equipment. Extensive use of the latest in electrical controls such as VFD (variable frequency drives) and pressure transducers are used to maximize the potential of the pump and motor. As an authorized GIANT warranty station for Southern California, we are well acquainted with the pump capabilities and limitations. |

Nozzle lines and assemblies are all fabricated at our Southern California facility where every scheme is subject to extensive testing and trials before shipping to the client. Nozzles are available in differing sizes and orifices for specific applications from 0.15 (0.008") to 1.00 mm (0.05"). The design and application determine the choice of nozzles, in some cases a combination are used for the best result and effect. |
Electrical control panels are built to provide the client with the maximum protection & flexibility. Safety protection isparamount for many industrial applications where the system is remotely located. Sensors and alarms will shut down the pump for insufficient incoming pressure, blocked filters, broken pressure lines, and blocked nozzles. Optional "Freeze Protection" controllers are also available for susceptible areas. The ACT Group employs a permanent staff of installers and technicians for installation on systems all over the world.
The ACT Group specialists are available onsite to work with the contractor, user, or client. All personnel are MSHA certified and maintain licenses in their specific fields. |
