Greenhouse Humidification & Cooling Systems
The need for precise control over ambient conditions is an omnipresent requirement and need for industry and agriculture alike. The ACT Group's expertise spans over 25 years of knowledge in the horticulture field. Horticultural crops react differently at varying temperatures and humidifies; most will suffer when the ambient humidity drops below 40%, as the transpiration from the plant leaves is too great. Similarly, when the air temperature exceeds 32°C (90°F) plants will also physically "shut down" as the transpiration rate is too high. |

| High pressure fog systems are used for cooling and humidification. |

The ACT Group specializes in providing turnkey systems for growers and greenhouse operators. Fog systems on their own are not the answer to grower's concerns over high temperature and low humidity. Careful integration with other ventilation, heating and shade systems in the greenhouse are also an important part of the study. Cooling systems need to be combined with drier air to ensure that they can achieve the expected results. The humidity and temperature of the incoming air plays a major part in the cooling process. Dry incoming air temperature decreases of over 18°C (38°F) have been observed. The higher the humidity of the incoming air, the smaller decrease is achievable in normal conditions.

It is imperative that an adequate computer control system is utilized; we work closely with experienced corporations for the latest product updates and controls for the high-pressure fog systems. Correct operation and control of a fog-system is paramount to the overall operation of the system, with a badly controlled system, the results are unpredictable and often worse than no system at all. Nozzle lines in stainless steel or flexible nylon are installed throughout the greenhouse at carefully calculated distances and spacing. Air changes, climatic conditions and cultivation types are also taken into account. |
With all of this information, the most complete system is supplied for the grower. The ACT Group will also will supply and install Reverse Osmosis Systems, recycling systems, booster pumps and more. We offer a complete line of services for any application.
